  • The Nets’ losing streak has reached eight straight games, and all eight of those defeats have been by 10 or more points. Last night, Brooklyn fell 129-105 to the Pacers in Indianapolis in a game that wasn’t really close for much, if any, time. Miles Turner dominated Brooklyn’s undermanned frontcourt for 28 points and 10 rebounds as the Pacers shot almost 56 percent from the field.
  • Playing out the string is the perfect phrase for both the Nets and their opponent tonight, the Wizards, as each team has long been eliminated from playoff contention and will be without most of their top players. Washington won’t have John Wall (knee), Bradley Beal (pelvis) or Markieff Morris (rest) while the Nets have Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez resting along with their other injuries.
  • Rondae Hollis-Jefferson didn’t play in Indiana due to rest but he should get a decent amount of time today. Thomas Robinson left yesterday’s game early with a sore knee so expect to see a lot of Henry Sims at center.

Probable lineups

WAS- Ramon Sessions (PG), Marcus Thornton (SG), Jared Dudley (SF), Otto Porter Jr. (PF), Marcin Gortat (C)

BKN- Shane Larkin (PG), Wayne Ellington (SG), Bojan Bogdanovic (SF), Chris McCullough (PF), Henry Sims (C)

Final thoughts

One more game left after this. Enjoy the Ian Eagle calls while you can.
