Duval came to Notre Dame as a highly rated recruit last year. His high school offense ran a version of the “Wing T” and some analysts were unsure if Duval was worthy of such a high ranking as a WR when he was also a tremendous safety prospect as well. Well, he proved any nay sayers wrong as he worked his way up the depth chart and became a very good player in his first year.
Kamara is in the same mold as former Irish WR Maurice Stovall. His height and muscle mass allow him to get physical separation and jump up for the ball and snatch it from above the defender.
Really look for Kamara to develop into the Fighting Irish’s #1 WR from the first whistle of the pre-season, all the way through to the end of the year. He will benefit greatly if Clausen stays healthy and they nurture a trust relationship. Kamara can and should be the player Clausen goes to when ND needs a big catch.
I think he is going to be a motherfucking BEAST in 2008.

David Grimes enters the 2008 season as the most veteran WR on the Irish roster and he was voted as the offensive captain. Grimes spent most of his career for the Irish as a slot option, but due to a lack of proven play makers at the WR position, David was put in as the #1 WR to start the 2007 season.
Grimes is a very quick and sure handed WR that runs very precise and good routes. Throughout his time at ND he has made some very difficult catches and the Fighting Irish will definitely need that ability to produce as they try to re-establish themselves as a power throughout the sky.
This year, David should see his production greatly improve as he should be playing his natural position in the slot with players such as Kamara, Parris, and even true freshman Mike Floyd available to Notre Dame to use on the outside.
