In a world destined to progress beyond current recognition, it’s nice to see some past glories being revived in a relevant manner.
It is being reported that Notre Dame and Miami are progressing in negotiations for a game at Soldier Field in Chicago against eachother in 2012. There are other reports stating that the two schools could also have a home-and-home series in 2014 and 2016.
This is great news to those in ND Nation that want Notre Dame to remain Independent in football. Rakes of Mallow had this Tweet, to show how strong the Irish schedule could be in 2012.
The ability to have a decently strong schedule + ND winning football games again = Independence.
Jack Swarbrick is “trying like hell” to keep the Irish Independent with a scheduling move like this, but how long will they be able to do so? That is the bigger question. Until then, you better break out the Catholic VS. Convicts shirts.
