Michael Floyd Returns For Senior Year Like A Pissed Off Bull In Pamplona

Yes, let us celebrate! Let’s all celebrate like those furry dwarfs living on the moon! I embedded Her Loyal Son’s little Tweet to their blog post, because it has a nice quick quote from Michael Floyd about why he is returning. It says all the right things, and it has the eloquence expected of a soon to be senior at Notre Dame.

I believe every word that is quoted from Floyd on this subject, but he isn’t telling the whole truth…

Michael Floyd is pissed off, and somebody is going to have to pay up.

I firmly believe that if Michael would have had a more favorable report from the NFL draft committee, we would be saying our goodbyes to Floyd, and our thanks. As it turned out, he did not get the response he was looking for, and like all of us, his mind-set was more open to another direction, and he was able to talk himself into a decision that he now believes is the best course.

There is nothing wrong with this. We all do it, and a lot of the time we look back on the decision and thank God we made that choice. So, like I said, I believe every word he said, even if he didn’t fully believe it a week ago.

With that said, Floyd is now a player that has a HUGE chip on his shoulder. For some players, that chip can become a burden, and a hindrance. Somehow, I don’t see Floyd slowing down from carrying said chip, but rather shoving it up the ass of our opponents. Brian Kelly has gone on record, saying that Michael Floyd was the hardest worker that he has ever coached. That statement has me thinking that Kelly will see Floyd one-up himself this season.

Absolute beast-mode is about to get kicked into full gear. However, if you see Michael, and you think he needs something more to pump himself with… sing this song to him- just substitute “Bret” with “Mike.”
