Notre Dame beat up Air Force 59-33 in a game that saw the Fighting Irish jump out to an early lead thanks to forced turnovers. Jamoris Slaughter stripped a ball out of an Air Force ball carrier’s hand on the Falcons first play from scrimmage, and then in the second quarter, Slaughter made an acrobatic interception while falling to the ground.
These turnovers helped Notre Dame lead 21-3 after the first quarter, and 42-16 after the first half. The turnover story for Notre Dame has done a 180 degree turn from where it was after the first 3 weeks. The results have been quite obvious.
I’ll have much more in the Hangover post, but until then, enjoy a Toma touchdown. Yes, even Toma got in on the action.
