Period 1: Hmmmm Wings. That is all I was thinking about during the first period because it was a major snooze fest. The only thing that happened that showed any life was when Ryan White put a crushing blow on Thomas Jurco, resulting him leaving the game and possible suspension. The Flyers managed to kill the 5 minute major as a result of the hit. The Flyers earned a power play shortly after, but could not convert. The period ended in a 0-0 tie.
Ryan White will probably get suspended for this brutal hit on Tomas Jurco – https://t.co/oGgxxuuDpx pic.twitter.com/YLhJmXnRLZ

Period 2: The period started off fairly slow, until Radko Gudas slammed Paval Datsyuk against the boards multiple times and went to the box for a holding penalty. Right after the Flyers killed off the power play, a scrum started in front of the Flyers net and, of course, Radko Gudas came flying out of the box and joined the fracas. The game was back and forth thanks to excellent goaltending and Brayden Schenn missing an open net twice. With just over a minute left in the period, Niklas Kronwall scored a controversial goal. The goal looked to be goaltender interference and coach Dave Hakstol used his coaching challenge but the goal stood. The period ended the with the Red Wings up 1-0

Period 3: Neuvirth played great Sunday night, as he stopped 22 of the Red Wings shots on net. Early in the third, Voracek danced through the Wings defense, dropped it back to Giroux and he buried it to tie it 1-1. The Flyers were buzzing all period and forced a 5 on 3 power play for 1:36. The Flyers managed 6 shots on net held the zone but Mrazek was up to the challenge, making amazing save after amazing save. With under a minute left, Ghost ripped one in the net but Wayne Simmond and his butt interfered with the goalie which led to a no goal and penalty on Simmonds. With seconds left in the game, Sean Couturier was pulled down on a breakaway late but it was rule as a regular penalty and not a penalty shot. End of OT 1-1.

OT: Nothing special especially since it seemed like the Wings held the puck in the Flyer’s zone the whole time. Both teams couldn’t manage a score due to excellent goaltending. We head into a shootout

Shootout: Let’s be honest, we all thought the Flyers were going to lose once the OT was over. However, the Flyers pulled it off with Giroux and Voracek both scoring. It was a great game with the a playoff game like atmosphere. Flyers win 2-1
