You don’t see this too often. The KHL’s annual All Star Skills Competition got a little heated this year. During the shoot out portion of the competition, Linus Omark, who plays for Salavut Yulaev Ufa, lit his stick on fire before attempting his shot. What happened next was a majestic vision of fire and ice as Omark skated towards the goaltender.
He may not have scored but he definitely stole the show. The judges agreed as Omark was named the winner of the skills competition despite failing to score on both shootout attempts.
Linus Omark played in the NHL from 2010-2014 with the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres.
