Is Drone Racing The Next Big Thing?

JackMcDowell

I was casually strolling the internet when I came across something that caught my eye. It’s called the Drone Racing League and could be the next big thing in racing. The concept is pretty self explanatory; drone pilots race their drones through a series of obstacles while competing to be the first racer to cross the finish line. The races take place at a variety of locations including an empty warehouse in New York, an abandoned mall in Los Angeles and Sun Life Stadium(home to the Miami Dolphins). Like a scene out of Star Wars, these mechanical masterpieces move effortless through the air in a ballet of twist and turns.

I’m not 100% sold that the league will take off but at least one investor thinks it will. Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, has already invested $1 million in the start up league.
