I will start this off by saying I was one of many who disliked Cam Newton. I have found him showy, arrogant and disrespectful to those who have played the game before him. His constant pouting during the first few years of his career, his rants throwing Panther’s players and front office personnel under the bus and, most importantly, stating that there should be a “suggestion box” and complaining about Ron Rivera’s play calling has turned me off to the likely MVP. All things that most people have forgotten or just flat out ignored.
However, after watching Ryan Clark’s explanation, even my opinion has begun to change. Clark eloquently sums up why most of America cannot relate to Newton’s antics. It really does make you take a step back and look at things from a wider scope. I may never be able to forget some of the moments that made me dislike Cam in the first place but a second chance is definitely in order.
