Doug Pederson’s arrival in the “City of Brotherly Love” has already energized a franchise looking to turn the page on a disappointing 7-9 season. One player is looking to benefit from the hiring of the former Chiefs OC. Pederson oversaw a rushing attack that posted a league leading (54) rushing tds, (4.6) yards per carry, good enough for 3rd in the NFL, and (7th) overall in rushing yards with(6018) in his 3 seasons at the offensive controls.

That player is Philadelphia running back DeMarco Murray, who is optimistic his north-south running style will work well with the first time head coach’s system. Murray made it known early just what style of play he is most comfortable with. “Obviously, that’s what I’ve done, and that’s where I’ve had the most success,” Murray said about playing with the quarterback under center. He continued: “I think everyone has a feel for what they like to do, and that’s one of the things I like to do.” And it’s a style Pederson has no problem with using as it is primarily what he did in KC.“I think DeMarco Murray fits well into what I can bring,” Pederson told reporters during his introductory press conference.

Eagles fans are salivating at the possibilities of what the $40 Million running back can do in an offense better suited to fit his physical gifts. A season of disappointment has slowly given rise to a season of hope a bright future.
