February 23rd was an eventful day for the Phillies in 1979. That day the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs swapped eight players. The trade deal would go as follows:

The Philadelphia Phillies send Barry Foote, Ted Sizemore, Jerry Martin, Derek Botelho and Henry Mack to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for Manny TrilloDave Rader and Greg Gross.

This deal would play a huge part in the Phillies’ 1980 World Series Championship run. Manny Trillo, the centerpiece of the trade, would go on to win the Silver Slugger during that season, thanks to a .292 to go along with 15 doubles, 9 triples and 7 home runs. Trillo would play two more seasons in red pinstripes before ultimately being dealt along with George Vukovich, Jay Baller, Julio Franco and Jerry Willard in 1982 to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for Von Hayes.
