Social media is a notoriously unwelcoming place and that has been especially true for Sunday Night Baseball commentator, Jessica Mendoza. Mendoza joined SNB this season, her first full time baseball gig, after years of announcing the Women’s College World Series. Since filling in for, the oft-suspended and recently fired, Curt Schilling, Mendoza has drawn a myriad of critics, especially from Twitter.
Jessica Mendoza has no business being on Sunday Night Baseball. She's absolute trash

I should know better than to do a search for Jessica Mendoza while she calls a game pic.twitter.com/yUgysthR9g

Jessica Mendoza is not a good announcer. It has absolutely nothing to do with her being a woman. #SundayNightBaseball

There have been some positive returns as well:
Jessica Mendoza as a commenter for Dodger Game is pretty awesome.
