It is being reported that former Raider receiver Ronald Curry has signed with the Detroit Lions. Curry was a seventh round pick in Oakland who became their go to guy for a couple of years. He fell out of favor last season, and ended up being benched for a few games after developing butterfingers.
Curry’s injuries prevented him from reaching his full potential as an explosive receiver, but he should provide a move the chains target and a solid veteran presence for the rebuilding Lions. Curry’s departure leaves Sebasitan Janikowski and Shane Lecher as the remaining holdovers from the 2002 AFC Championship season.
