The Oakland Raiders face a team that embarrassed them in New Orleans last season 34-3. In Tom Cable’s debut as the interim head coach, Dree Brees threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns and the victory helped reinforce the Oakland Raiders as a punch line throughout the league.
Since that day, things have definitely changed in Oakland. Tom Cable is now the official head coach and he’s installed more discipline and structure into a team that was sorely missing it during the Lane Kiffin era.
There may be a little payback in store for Brees and the Saints today as both teams plan to play their starters through the end of the first half. Check back here for the recaps as the game continues.
