Well, the presumed meeting between Al Davis and Tom Cable presumably happened. There has been no confirmation from the Raider organization said meeting ever actually occured. However, the overhead projector stayed in the closet and there has been no announcement that Cable was no longer the Raiders head coach.
Leave it to the Oakland Raiders to do things their own way, even if said method makes no sense to anyone. It would appear that no announcement two weeks after the season would mean that Cable was still the coach and would be through the 2010 season.
However, this is the Oakland Raiders. Logic does not apply. Cable could still be let go next week or after the draft. Whatever happens with the Raiders happens according to the thoughts and whims of Al Davis and nothing else.
Don’t be surprised no matter what develops from the Raiders.
