Its Monday, let’s get ready to mumble.
Levi and I have recently sparked some debate in these parts by looking back at the best and worst of Raider history. We had some really interesting comments from you guys on both lists. The Raiders have had their share of absolute greatness, as well as numerous floaters.
Those of us who have followed the team for many years are going to have our own best and worst lists. For some, myself included, the 1982 move to Los Angeles was a crime against humanity and an absolute low point. For others, that move to The City of Angles was at the root of their becoming part of the Raider Nation.
For the newest generation of fans the years of true Raider domination are the stuff of NFL Films and memories from the “old timers.” In fact, a person born in January 1984 when the Raiders demolished the Redskins for their third ring, would be 26 years old, and the only sustained Raider winning they would know would be the Jon Gruden/Rich Gannon years.
I remember two out of the three Raider Super Bowl victories, with Super Bowl XV being among my earliest sports memories. I was too young to appreciate the fleeting nature of greatness, and assumed that the Raiders would always be right there at the top of the heap.
What are your favorite Raider memories?

Comment of the week: from the article Hall of Shame Raiders Bottom 15

My biggest problem with Romanowski wasn’t his roids, it was 1) spitting in someone else’s face on the playing field (no class), and 2) ending a teammates career by smashing his face in a practice. And I don’t want to hear how he led us to the Superbowl either; Charles Woodson led the D and Gannon led the O.
