Tuesday was an off day for the Raiders. However, they announced that they reached injury settlements with defensive ends Jay Richardson and Alex Daniels.
Alex Daniels was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati. He made headlines when he was moved to fullback. He spent a couple of weeks at the fullback position, seeing action in second and third games at fullback before moving back to the defensive side of the ball.
Jay Richardson was a sixth round pick in 2007. His play had the Raiders release third round pick Quentin Moses. He started 22 games in his first two years, but never became the all around player the Raiders were hoping for. He had 82 tackles and 7 sacks with a safety in his three years as a Raider.
This move makes both of them free agents.
