Chekwa back at practice, Janikowski sidelined

This is the all important Friday practice, where we are supposed to get the best idea of who will be healthy enough to play on Sunday. By that logic, rookie Chimdi Chekwa should be back in the lineup for the Raiders against the Chiefs and Janikowski could very well not play.

Chekwa was initially not on the field as practice started but he soon came trotting out, helmet in hand. He was likely getting cleared by trainers. With Chris Johnson still out, Demarcus Van Dyke will start on the right side with Chekwa playing third corner.

Janikowski has a hamstring injury he suffered in practice this week and could miss the game. The Raiders are expected to work out a couple of kickers today to replace him. We will soon see who those kickers are. A couple possibles are Shayne Graham and Dave Rayner.
