The Oakland Raiders have landed the first major prize of the NFL’s free agency period.

According to Rand Getlin of NFL Network, guard/tackle Kelechi Osemele has agreed in principle to sign with the Raiders when the market opens on Wednesday.

Osemele, 26, spent four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, playing both guard and tackle. The former second-round pick entered free agency as arguably the most coveted offensive lineman available, especially after excelling at left tackle to end last season.

It’s currently unknown what position Osemele will play with the Raiders.

He could slot in at left tackle, where 2015 starter Donald Penn is currently a free agent. The Raiders may also decide to plug him in at guard opposite Gabe Jackson, which would give the Raiders a potentially dominant interior offensive line with Osemele, Jackson and center Rodney Hudson.

Dollar amounts on the deal were not immediately available, but many outlets expected him to command at least $10 million per season.

A number of teams appeared to be in the running for Osemele, including the Ravens, Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets. With the second-most cap space available, the up-and-coming Raiders were able to get a deal done with one of the top free agents before the official opening of market.
