Best Bucs Media Coverage? My point of view on where your time is best served.

Best Bucs Media Coverage? My point of view on where your time is best served.
Where is the Best place to catch up with Bucs info?
Your hungry for Tampa Bay Buccaneers coverage, and with OTAs going into full gear, its no secret why. But soon, the void will come, the month from the end of mandatory mini camp to training camp, that NOTHING is happening. Players love this, as this is their true month off. As fans, we get more hungry for NFL snacks, and your going to need a guide to get your Bucs stuff that you crave….and Im going to provide it for you!

ON THE WEB!

Look i’m going to be honest, thank you if youve bookmarked me, but this is the last site you should come to for breaking Bucs news. And Bucem.com is also the last site you should go to for breaking Bucs news. Why? Because they, Like me, are only getting the news from the same place you can. The Bucs Website, or other REAL media outlets. Buecm and Bucstop and other Bucs blogs are just that, blogs, a place to read opinions. Yes we all try to deliver the news, but you will never find one single news article on either site BEFORE it is on www.Buccaneers.com or other reputable site. That includes JoeBucsFan.com. although they are probably the closest to a news outlet any of our Blogs are.

BUCS NEWS SITES ON THE WEB-

Buccaneers.com – The Bucs own site, and you can subscribe to the One Buc Club and you can get your Bucs news the same time, and same way, our websites like Bucstop, BucsCentral, Bucem, etc get it from.

Pewter Report.com–  Absolutely NO ONE is reporting on the deep deep stuff like Pewter Report is. Jim Flynn, Charlie Campbell and Scott Reynolds excel at getting the low down on the Bucs, and explaining it to us. Yes sometimes they tend to pat themselves on the Back a little too much for most of our tastes, but more than half the time they deserve it.

St. Pete Times & Tampa Tribune Bucs Coverage-  To be fair, the St. Pete Times seems to have consistently better coverage than the Trib does. There are times I wont even FIND a story on the Tribs site for a full day after it is on the Times site.

OPINIONS, CONTENT, ETC

The Best Bucs site on the internet is not even on American Soil! Its based in the UK, from the Bucs fan club out there known as Bucs UK and is headed up by Paul Stewart, who founded the Bucs UK in 1982 after watching the Monday Night Football broadcast over there. Paul works on his website, Bucpower.com and has tons of ex Bucs players in contact with him! Paul Provides Photos, videos, but more importantly, Bucpower.com is the #1 source for Buccaneer game/player information.

You can look up each game, each player, you can read the newspaper articles published after the games, see the official Game sheets, play by play info and much much more! It is the Buccaneer fan’s bible site, and not even the Bucs site comes close. Stewart has a greater memory for these facts than I do by far (its not even close), an encyclopedia like mind of all things Buccaneer, and I promise you he has forgotten more about the Bucs than I have ever known, and I pride myself on my knowledge of all things Buccaneers. If you’ve never been to www.bucpower.com, I suggest you check it out, its in my front page links.

Opinions on Bucpower tend to be optimistic with a touch of objectivity.

BUCSTOP.COM- Your here- Building Video base, daily new videos from each of three catagories, Orange, Pewter, and last year.      Opinions tend to be very positive and homerism is not only allowed but encouraged.

JoeBucsFan.com- Most articles are of a slightly pessimistic/objective nature. They dont bring anything to the table in the area of News, but if you want a “Real” objective look at the Bucs and you want to make sure your getting the other side of Red/Orange/Pewter Glasses, JoeBucsFan is your site, run by professional writers.

Bucem.com- This site is more of a place to leave your opinion. As I used to run the site, I can tell you the writers are just like you and me, so your only getting another opinion, except from someone who can put their opinion in the main section. The site has a large pessimistic point of view among the fan base, or at least it seems that way because those are the loudest barkers.

RADIO WAVES- 620 WDAE is the official station of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but you would never guess it if you tuned in Monday – Friday from 6am to 9 am! Dan Sileo who was suspended by his station for reporting false news about Bucs Ownership has not gotten over that and has taken his vendetta out for his 3 hour tour each morning. Ron and Ian who come on weekdays from 9am to Noon simply will tell you the popular viewpoint. If the Bucs are winning, they will back them up and say nice things. If they are losing, they will rip them. Rarely controversial, and equally rarely prepared for the show with information, Ian Beckles offers up good opinions but few facts. Ron Diaz has been a radio personality in the Bay area since 1979, and is solid, if not sometimes offensive depending on your point of view.  At 3 PM the Big Dog Steve Duemig is by far the Bay Area’s best representative of Sports Talk Radio. He is firmly in support of Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik being given a chance to implement their plan, and is comical in his “Homer Simpson” way of dealing with callers who are less than average with intelligence.

1010 AM WQYK does not have the strength of signal that 620 enjoys, but this is the internet age right? The Noon Show to 3pm is former  Bucs QB Shawn King and that show is very entertaining, and a better option than Jim Rome if you want to keep up with local stuff. JP Peterson is the Big Dogs alternative if you find the canine not to your taste!

This is not complete, there are plenty of stations, podcasts, and others to add, and I will reopen comments so people can throw in their suggestions for all!
