If there is going to be a turn around for our Bucs, its going to be very similar to the last big turnaround, which was 1996; the first year under Tony Dungy. So were going to cover 1996 for you on a day to day basis like it was happening today! Youll get photos, video clips, and newspaper articles too. Of course we will get our content from many sources, but www.bucpower.com is my Buccaneer bible, and it should be yours too! Back to 1996…. The season didn’t start out great, 0-5 in fact, followed by 1-8. But the players were learning the system and getting better. After and including the first win, no team scored more than 13 points in any one game against the Bucs until the win streak started. Unlike other win streaks in 1995/94, 89/88, and ’87, this wasnt a fluke; this was a football team that had some talented players who learned how to play together and how to WIN together. 2009 was a team devoid of a lot of talent, but that talent has arrived this year and it will probably take some time for it to mesh with all of these players just arriving, but we will get to watch it unfold. And it will look familiar because you will get to see it happen here. You will get to see how 1996 played out, how last year came along, and you should see the warning signs, or positive signs, when we watch our Bucs grow in 2010. Here is the Video clip of Mike Alstott’s first TD reception, and first real highlight of many! He wills himself into the end zone, and Ed Brady had better get used to highjacking a ride on the A trains back, because he will do it again next year in the Dome!
