Bucs don't seem 100% content with Zuttah at Guard
Jeremy Zuttahs hold on the Left Guard position is shaky at best.
Call it a hunch, call it observation, but call it anyones job to lose. Left Guard that is; ever since Aaron Sears vacated the job he took over from an ill timed injury to Dan Benning, the left Guard Spot has been the weak link on an otherwise improved and improving Offense Line. Zuttah had a solid rookie year, but was unspectacular last season. Then again, wasnt everyone else? All things being equal, the O line under preformed last year but the change of Offensive Coordinators and the call to Lose Weight then Gain Weight could be held responsible for that. Now add to the mix veteran lineman Keydrick Vincent who is getting reps with the starting squad, and you have some pudding to provide proof that the Bucs are not all that happy with labeling Zuttah the starter in anything but a no.2 lead yellow thing. Vincent is no slouch, though he has bounced around 4 teams, he was with the Panthers for the last two seasons, you know, the ones that ran the ball for 800 yards in three games? Add Left Guard to the many other preseason position battles the Bucs will try to iron out before facing the Brownies in September.
