GameDay; Cincinnati- and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back in action against the Bengals at 1Pm EST, and we get to watch it on our HDTVs! No more 352×275 pixel paradise on the computer screen! Whenever the Bucs have a bye, it reminds me of what could have been, what would have happened had the Bucs moved out of the area, and we had no football. Thats not a pleasant thought, and that is why I dont mind if the Bucs go 3-13, at least we have the Bucs! But just having them is not enough, because we know that we do…now we want them to win; and win they do against the Bengals, at least in the last 5 meetings vs Cincinnati dating back to 1995 win at Tampa Stadium.  Overall the Bucs actually have a series advantage over the Bengals, having won 6 of the 9 games played against them. The Bucs lost in their inaugural season, and again in 1989, but won in 1980 in the season opener that year. How do the teams rank? Well the Bucs are 20th in Rushing offense while the Bengals are 23rd, but Tampa Bay will go with LeGarrette Blount and Kareem Huggins some today to spell Cadillac and try to spark the running attack. Passing its not close, as the Bucs are 23rd while Cinci is 6th with the dynamic T.Ocho Cinco! Defensively, Tampa Bay is 10th vs the Pass, but 28th against the Run. Both Teams give up about 19 points per game, of course the Pittsburgh game really had a lot to do with that high number. Since 1996, Tampa Bay is 8-6 following a Bye Week. Last year the Bucs came off the Bye after preparing Josh Freeman for his first start, and beat Green Bay. We will have to see if the preparation of Blount and Benn will have the same effect! The Bucs will go against former kicker (if you wish to call him that) Mike Nugent, who is actually having a good year for the Cats in Orange and Black. Bucs Safety Corey Lynch was a 6th round pick of the Bengals in the 2008 draft.
