4 days later, and THE DRIVE is still unbelievable

The football gods blessed me when they led me to get my ticket on the 25 yard line closest to the South End Zone, which was where “The Drive” happened. I hit the person in front of me several times by accident, to which I do apologize by the way if your reading! Lost in the excitement was the overcoming of yet another penalty that just left us feeling as if that was the way the game was going to end, and it would have been fitting. A dumb penalty, on the offensive line, moving the Bucs on the wrong side of the 50. It didn’t happen! Kellen Winslow came through when called upon.

But that wasn’t enough…no time was now the enemy of the Bucs (although it would quickly become the Bucs BFF.) :30 seconds left, the Bucs were not even in the red zone yet, though close enough to taste it. Mike Williams becomes hero of the second, as he looks to head out of bounds, but is smart enough to realize the Bucs have a time out left and takes the risk to go inside to get more yardage. Otherwise, the Bucs are at the 10!

Then of course, the rest is history. Cadillac Williams. 17 seconds left.
