Bucs/Cardinals series has some crazy history…

Even though it was not on the road like this Sunday’s game will be, tomorrows flashback feature will take us to the last time these two teams met at Raymond James in 2007. It was a crazy finish, as an otherwise peaceful game got a bit scrappy with Jeremy Trueblood (no really, who else did you expect to be mentioned in here with scrap) and some serious poor sportsmanship on the part of the RedBirds. Today though, we’re going to go back to some other ones, equally entertaining to say the least. A total of three times the Bucs have let a team totally come back to beat them even though in the second half they looked like they were invincible. Case in point, 1987 Bucs at Cardinals, St. Louis Cardinals that is! Going into the 4th quarter, the Bucs had a 28-3 lead. 28 To 3! The Cardinals scored 4 touchdowns in the 4th Quarter to take the lead, but that wasnt the death march for Tampa Bay. No No No, we had Iggy! And Steve DeBerg got the Bucs into Iggy Range! Check out what happens!

Ok, how about another comeback, this time in the Bucs favor?? 1989 at Arizona, and Vinny Testeverde engineers a nice last minute drive down 13-7 with seconds left….

How about just a plain good old fashioned freak of nature play? How about Lars Tate with this NFL Films ‘played at midnight follies’ clip!

Yes, it was a Touchdown.
