The time has come!!!!! Chris Capuano suffered a groin strain while warming up for his scheduled start Wednesday, and was placed on the 15-Day DL today. The Brewers are expected to call-up top prospect Yovani Gallardo to start Monday vs. the San Francisco Giants (and I have tickets for the game!). I can’t say how excited I am. This will say a lot. It would be awesome if somehow Tim Lincecum‘s start got pushed up and the two kids squared off on Monday, but I doubt that’ll happen. Whatever. I’m about to pee my pants! There’s a chance Gallardo will be used in relief in Minnesota over the weekend, in which case Carlos Villanueva will start Monday because he will not be available until then according to manager Ned Yost. Hopefully we get some decent starts from the SP’s in Minnesota. Oh yeah, thanks to Bill Hall for delivering a win last night (finally). Looks like they’re about to pull off 2-of-3 in Detroit if Francisco Cordero doesn’t blow it in the 9th. That would be great.
