FINALLY!

To echo the point of David, Monday night was a great night to be a Brewers fan. A 9-0 rout of the first place Diamondbacks couldn’t have come at a better time for the Crew. In addition to picking up the victory, Gallardo hit his first career Major League home run. Prince Fielder hit is National League leading 39th home run and had 4 RBI. Bill Hall contributed to the cause with his 12th homer of the season. The Brewers look for 2 in a row tonight as Dave Bush will take the mound for the Brewers as he tries to become the third pitcher on the staff with 10 wins. In other Brewers news, Seth McClung was the player that got the call to the big club after Carlos Villanueva was sent down to Triple A. McClung, 26, was acquired from the Devil Rays on July 27th in the Grant Balfour trade. Also, Ben Sheets had a pitching session cut short after 78 pitches due to a blister that was beginning to form on tip of his injured middle right finger. It now looks like Sheets may make a Minor League rehab start before re-joining the Brewers. Finally, lefty starter, Chris Capuano has been demoted from the starting rotation to the bullpen. Capuano is 0-10 since May 7 and the team is 0-16 in his starts since that day. The move seems to be a temporary one as the Brewers have no need for a 5-man rotation until September.
