Tuesday night’s 7-4 win over Arizona–at Arizona–saw Gabe Gross smack a grand slam in the 7th, as well as a return to form for starter Dave Bush. Bush got the win to up his record to 10-9, thanks to a 2-run in 6 IP effort, highlighted with 6 K’s. Newly acquired reliever Seth McClung made things interesting in the 9th by giving up a pair of runs with two outs…resulting in Ned Yost needing to go to closer Coco Cordero…resulting in Coco getting his 37th save on the year. The Cubs also won, so the Crew remains tied for first. The Crew faces D-backs’ ace Brandon Webb on Wednesday night in their quest for the sweep.
