The Brewers’ offense was stymied Tuesday night by Marlins’ ace Scott Olsen, as Olsen allowed only two hits over 8 2/3rds innings en route to a 3-0 loss by the Brewers.
Jeff Suppan pitched well–3 ER, 5 K’s, but 8 hits and 3 BB’s–but reached 108 pitches after 5+ innings; the Brewers’ bullpen also pitched 3 scoreless innings…but that doesn’t matter if you don’t score runs.
Ned Yost on FSN Wisconsin attributed the poor offense due to great pitching by Olson, as well as a couple borderline calls. Yost got ejected in the game.
Dave Bush goes Wednesday night to try and end the Brews’ 4-game losing streak.
