In a possible preview of the 2008 World Series, the Brewers travel to Boston for their first interleague series of 2008. The three game set will be the first time the Brewers have visited Fenway since joining the National League. Also, the Brewers will be discounting Loge Outfield seats for the 5/27 game against the Braves–$1 off for each run scored by the Crew against Boston…if the Crew scores 26 runs, tickets will be free.
Pitching Probables:
Friday, 5/16, 6:05 p.m. CT: RHP Jeff Suppan (2-2, 4.63) vs. RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka (6-0, 2.45)
Saturday, 5/17, 2:55 p.m CT (on FOX): RHP Dave Bush (1-4, 6.06) vs. RHP Tim Wakefield (3-2, 4.25)
Sunday, 5/18, 12:35 p.m. CT: RHP Carlos Villanueva (2-4, 6.00) vs. RHP Josh Beckett (4-3, 4.21)
Things to look for:
1. Will skipper Ned Yost opt to use Prince Fielder in the DH role? Or will he use the opportunity to work in another left-handed hitter, e.g. Tony Gwynn, Jr., to face the three Boston right-handed starters?
2. Without a pitcher to bat 8th, will catcher Jason Kendall continue to bat 9th?
3. Will Rickie Weeks continue to bat lead-off and will J.J. Hardy continue to bat second, or will Yost toy with the line-up? Could Gwynn get a shot at lead-off over the weekend?
