Yeah, baby! Parra paces 7-0 win over Jays

Someone cut Manny Parra in my fantasy league a week or two ago (yeah, usually it’s me that gives up on a pitcher early)…he is regretting that move now.
Parra continued his impressive performance streak at Miller Park in ’08, tossing 7 innings of shutout ball, allowing just 4 hits and 4 walks Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Prince Fielder hit a solo home run in the 2nd, his 12th of the year. Craig Counsell hit one, too, in the 3rd (no, really, he did). Russell Branyan hit his 8th of the year in 4th…and with a man on. Oh, and Ryan Braun hit his 19th in the 6th…and his 20th in the 8th, also with baserunner aboard. When added together, the Crew had 7 hits, 7 RBI’s and 7 runs on the night…and won, 7-0.
Mark DiFelice pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th inning…oh, and to make the night even sweeter…not only did I pick up Parra this week, I actually had some foresight to start him. Maybe things have turned the corner for the Phlegm Cats and the Brewers.
