Manny Parra pitched well. Wandy Rodriguez pitched better.
It what seems to be a disturbing trend, the Brewers’ offense struggled (again) against an average pitcher that they have never faced before, collecting just 5 hits (and only 3 off of Rodriguez) Friday night against the Astros. Mike Cameron doubled in Corey Hart for the Brewers’ lone run in the 2nd innning.
Parra pitched 6 scoreless innings before tiring in the 7th and putting 3 runners on board, that all scored. Parra dropped to 9-3, 3.72 while Rodriguez improved to 6-3, 3.18.
