Hernan Iribarren got the call Tuesday morning…but will be a back-up to Craig Counsell and Casey McGehee (Counsell will get most of the starts, with McGehee getting some starts against lefties, accoring to Tom Haudricourt of JSOnline.com).
So the Brewers are still going with just four outfielders now that Brad Nelson is gone and in the Mariners’ farm system…but wait. Iribarren played the OF for most of 2008 in Nashville…so Iribarren can fill in there as well.
And Tony Gwynn, Jr. still waits….
