Last week, there were rumors that the Huntsville Stars could potentially be bought and relocated to a brand new facility in Pensacola, Florida. As it turns out, we shouldn’t have gotten our hopes up — it’s not the Stars getting bought and relocated, but rather the Carolina Mudcats of Cincinnati’s farm system (h/t Brewerfan.net).
Nothing against the fine people of Huntsville, Alabama, but this is definitely disappointing news. The idea of a new facility was an exciting one, but it just wasn’t meant to be.
