How long after the Greinke trade do you think it took for Counsell to decide he wanted to come back? 10 seconds? 5?
Counsell will likely continue to fill the backup infielder role, but considering the shortstop situation, it’s possible he’ll see more starts than he has in awhile. That’s probably not a good thing, as I have my doubts about a 40-year old Counsell being able to handle more than a start or two per week.
