I don’t have a sister.
I have a mother, so any time there is a family issue, I try to convert it likewise.
Aqib Talib’s sister’s boyfriend obviously abused her. She called her mother and 911 for help. The mother must have called Aqib.
It went wrong from there.
Thats what the Police are for.
It would appear, allegedly of course, that Talib took matters into his own hands. Indications are he pistol whipped the boyfriend and then a fight ensued in which the BF tossed Talib’s gun and ran. Talib (and the sister’s) mom then fired shots. Perhaps Talib did too.
Not sure what I would do if someone hurt my family, but I understand my predicament in life.
I have strikes against me, and I don’t have any more at bats. Another strike, and I’m out.
Talib has had WAY too many strikes, its starting to all phase together.
There was the rookie symposium. There was the Taxi. There was the London Hotel late hour issue which has never been confirmed.
Then there was the referee argument that almost got him suspended.
Speaking of suspensions, even when he did get suspended for one game, he showed up at Raymond James when instructed not to.
Its becoming clear Aqib Talib cannot, or will not, learn lessons. In life, you are responsible for your actions. No matter what the situation is, there is always another alternative. Turn a silent ear to a cabbie. Go to your room early instead of staying out past curfew in another country.
Don’t get your gun to solve your problems. The pressure is going to start to mount, not just for Talib, but for his coach too. Raheem Morris has already been called soft, and enabler, when it comes to Talib. Tanard Jackson wont be eligible for reinstatement to the league until the second week of the season, and yet Jackson and Talib have a major item in common; Morris.
Both players were coached by Morris via the secondary since Morris return to the Bucs after 2007. Right now, you cant blame Morris, he is not even allowed to talk to his corner. But at some point, Talibs value to the team is going to come under as much question as his antics will take him.
Ive never been a gambling man, but nows the time to break into the stock of E.J. Biggers and Myron Lewis; before the next Talib incident occurs.
If he is allowed to commit one.
