Bucs will kick off preseason with Nationally televised game at Kansas City

Rejoice Bucs fans, you get to watch the first Bucs action of the year (assuming they have stopped crying by then) on National Television, as Fox has picked up the Bucs at KC Chiefs game on August 12th.

The next week the Bucs will return home and take on the Miami Dolphins, followed by another home game against the New England Patriots. Those games will be subject to blackout restrictions.

Finally, and with a new twist, the Bucs will close out the preseason playing the Washington Redskins in Landover, MD.

The KC game last year was won by the Bucs, but that was the game Josh Freeman hurt his thumb. The Bucs are 4-1 lifetime vs Chiefs in games that don’t count, is 7-1 against the Pats  in preseason (including 7 in a row), but have a losing record against Miami who is 16-9 against our Bucs  in the hot night games.

Its rare, and its been some time, but the Bucs have played the Skins in preseason matchups. That series is all tied up 5-5.
