mock drafts galore!

Today is the day folks! While Im not that big on mock drafts because there is NO WAY to predict whats going to actually happen, I do get into them on the day of! As you know, our two guys have put their word in…

Michael  Duschen has picked Ryan Kerrigan DE Purdue, and you can read his article here.
Nick Houllis has picked Mark Ingram RB Alabama, and you can read my pick here.

To be fair, I like  Michael’s pick better, I just don’t believe he will be on the board when the Bucs pick, and Dominik/Morris have shown they don’t make the mistake of drafting by need, but they take the best player available. Also,Don’t be surprised if the Bucs take an Offensive Tackle with the   first round pick!

Below is the chart courtesy of St. Pete Times whose panel is  Stephen Holder (Times), Mel Kiper (ESPN) and Peter King (SI), and all three have the Bucs taking Defensive Ends. I  hope all of them are right, although Smith is a project and I don’t think Peter King understands the Bucs (predicting two wins last year) at all, we don’t take projects. Not under Dominik. Pewter Report has the  Bucs taking Kerrigan also, and their whole draft looks like this…

ROUND 1 – Purdue DE Ryan Kerrigan
ROUND 2 – Wisconsin TE Lance Kendricks
ROUND 3 – Pittsburgh DE Greg Romeus
ROUND 4 – Citadel CB Cortez Allen
ROUND 5 – Fresno State OLB Chris Carter
ROUND 6 – Pittsburgh RB Dion Lewis
ROUND 7 – Arkansas Pine Bluff WR Raymond Webber
ROUND 7 – Georgia MLB Akeem Dent (Compensatory pick)

It should be mentioned that the PR team is always spot on with several of their picks after the first round. Expect at least 2 or 3 of their picks to come true, where as any other Mockers are lucky to have one come in , and that’s usually only the first round one!

There are tons of great articles out there today, including bus historical analysis. Bo Jackson’s infamous snub covered by the Tampa Tribune
Other mock draft picks, and last but not least, DO NOT MISS the live Bucs coverage on www.buccaneers.com or the Bucs Facebook page, which will have live streaming video. WDAE 620’s Justin Pulowski will have radio coverage starting at 7PM, and Justin was the one who saw the value of Bucs WR MIke Williams first when he went off on how good a pick that was when the Bucs made it.

Michael and I will be back during the day and tomorrow with out opinions and analysis on the picks as we will all weekend long! SO GO BUCS!
