With the first three rounds of the NFL draft in the books, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are doing just fine.
The Bucs kicked off their draft by drafting DE Adrian Clayborn out of the University of Iowa. the Bucs obviously have a need at the defensive end spot and Clayborn is a great fit for this team.
In the second round, Tampa made a big move and drafted former Clemson DE, Daquan Bowers. Bowers is very intriguing because up until questions started to swarm about his knee, he was considered the top player in this years draft. getting a player like Bowers in the second round is a complete steal. he has a great pass rush and does a great job in finding the ball.
The Bucs finished off the second day by drafting Washington LB, Mason Foster in the third round. Again, yet another player that was highly thought of coming out of college. Hes a pure tackler, has great instincts, and is a smart football player. He can also put his hand in the ground and rush the passer, something that the Bucs are starting to covet. Foster will come in and compete for one of the starting LB spots and in my opinion, will win at least the weak side backer spot.
All these players have extreme upside and talent. all three also bring game changing ability to the table and all three not only fill needs, but they are tops at their respective positions. Clayborn and Bowers were once thought of as top 5 picks, so being able to get them at 20 and 51 respectively, are major steals.
A lot of teams have been trading where as the Bucs have been sitting back and allowing the draft to come to them. Dominik and Morris know what there doing. I will have more on picks once they happen, but I am extremely happy with the Bucs draft thus far.
