2010 Bucs Lookback- Briscoe, Desmon

Most people are going into the 2011 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season expecting big things from Arrrelious Benn. Some are looking for Mike Williams to become even bigger than just the current record holder for most TDs receiving in a season. But the truth may be that the top receiver everyone is going to talk about when associated with the Bucs could be Dezmon Briscoe.

He came to the Bucs late in 2010, in what is already in our brief 2010 Bucs Lookback series an often repeated phrase; He is another Mark Dominik steal from the free agent pickings.  Drafted out of Kansas by the Bengals, they cut him in September 4th during final cuts. Perhaps they expected to sign him to their practice squad. Instead he ended up on the Bucs’.

In November, the Bucs activated him, and he made an impact, catching 2 passes for 48 yards against Seattle in week 15, and 4 passes for 65 yard in the week 16 Finale at New Orleans. His Touchdown in that game was amazing, is shown here!

Expect Big things out of Briscoe in 2011.
