Adam Hayward is the focus on today’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2010 Lookback feature. Hayward is a backup linebacker known mostly for his special teams contributions but his prowess as a linebacker started to come out last year as he was called upon more frequently.
Hayward started the last three games of 2010 registering a sack and two passes defended. With the Bucs unhappy about the inconsistent play coming out of the starting three linebackers, Hayward could stand to benefit from increased time on the field.
2011 stands to be a big year for the linebacker out of Portland State; if he negotiates a new contract. Hayward is a free agent.
