As I expect the Bucs to place the franchise tag on Barrett Ruud, he just so happens to be the next player up on our 2010 Bucs Lookback feature, which is coming to a conclusion very soon.

Ruud was a linebacker at Nebraska where he was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He sat behind Bucs Mike Linebacker Shelton Quarles until becoming the starter in 2007. Ruud has signed one year tenders recently, and has been seeking a long term deal for some time. He is now an unrestricted Free Agent.
