A decade Gone By- Dungy’s last stand; A week in review of the 2001 Bucs Season Week 15 vs Baltimore Ravens

Monday Night football makes its way back to Raymond James this season, but back in these days, MNF was in Tampa a couple times a year. This one happened to be on Saturday Night, so with Tony Siragusa on the Ravens, MNF had a little fun and did a spoof on Saturday Night Fever, only with Football instead.

When the game finally starts, its very defensive. Martin Gramatica is out, and in his place was a new Bucs placekicker who made good on his attempts. Still, the Bucs offense needed Derrick Brooks to close out the game. This would be the last home game that counted for the Bucs under Tony Dungy. An inept offense was still poor, especially when the other team had a good defense.

The Bucs managed to make the playoffs, and the way the season played out, the remake game missed during 9-11 turned out to be at the end of the season. Philadelphia at Tampa Bay, on ESPN National Football. This is why there are flex games! No starters played more than one possession, because the game was totally meaningless. Thats next up, for now, enjoy the highlights of week 15 ten years ago in 2001.
