Buccaneers Unit Currency Stock (B.U.C.S.) – Rising/Falling

A week of practice is in the books, and here how the Buccaneers players, staff, and fans are faring

Rising – Da’quan Bowers – This kid has been an animal and looks like he will strike fear into every quarterback the Bucs face.  Please don’t tell him I called him a kid, or he may strike fear into me.

Falling – Kyle Moore, Michael Bennett and Alex McGee – Only room for 2 starters as defensive ends, and these guys are quickly falling behind the rookies

Rising – The stones of Mark Dominik – 50 million dollars to spend on whoever he wants to bring onto a hot, up and coming team, and all he does is bring back his own guys.  Dominik is telling the world that he can beat them with the guys he hand selected in the draft, not the guys who are commanding 12 million a year.  Good luck Mark, you got huge stones right now.

Falling – The stones of Mason Foster – This guy wants to be a stud so badly that he asked Mark Dominik if he could wear 55.  Nobody is walking into Yankee Stadium and asking to wear number 3, so don’t walk into Raymond James and ask to wear 55.  That’s a good way to earn some extra rookie hazing (not that it takes place or anything here).  Dominik’s response was for Foster to pick a new number and make that the next great number.  That was the best response, period.

Rising – Kellen Winslow Jr. – The non-gun-wielding soldier is finally coming off an offseason with no knee surgery, and wow is he impressing everybody. (Cue the fantasy alert here)

Falling – Aqib Talib – The (allegedly) gun-wielding cornerback may be facing a call soon from the league office.  Commissioner Goodell worked into the new CBA that he can suspend any NFL player at will to “protect the shield”.  Uh oh…

Rising – Bucs Fans – Practices have started and are as fan-friendly as ever.  Single game tickets are now on sale.  The first preseason game is in one week.  How can we not be the big winners right now?

Falling – My preparation for fantasy football this year – With so many players changing hands over the last week, it is nearly impossible to be as prepared for fantasy football this year compared to years past.  Brady to Ochocinco?  Kyle Orton is going to Miami, now he isn’t and will start for Denver?  In which uniform will Brett Favre be throwing touchdown passes to Randy Moss?  I just hope that everybody is as unprepared as I am.
