As football starved fans, we are going to take SOMETHING out of yesterdays Bucs game. Coaches will take much more thankfully, but nonetheless, were going to try to show you what you, the fan, CAN take away from the outcome, Good, Bad, and even worse, the Ugly!
THE GOOD: Yes there was a lot of good to take with out. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked like the Varsity team compared to Kansas City which resembled a junior varsity team of freshmen who just werent ready to play with their older brothers just yet. Yes the Bucs have had impressive preseasons, and some impressive preseason games, but NEVER, in 35 years of watching the Bucs, have they EVER dominated a team like they did Kansas City last night.
PLAYERS on the Good-
Josh Freeman- Early results back; 2010 was no fluke.
Mike Koenen- Consitant Kickoffs deep.
Mason Foster- Recoverd fumble- wasnt in over his head..
Elbert Mack- solid tackles
Anthony Gaitor- Good tackling
The Running Josh Johnson.
Connor Barth- See Josh Freeman.
THE BAD
The Bucs could have had 39 points instead of 25.
The passing Josh Johnson- Needs to remember QB is a Throwing position FIRST.
James Lee- Jeremy Trueblood was saying to himself “Damn this Lee needs to cut back his penalties”!!!
RB Allen Bradford -1.3 yards per carry? Took the ‘must replace Cadillac Williams’ talk too literally.
THE UGLY-
Safety Devin Holland, who will NOT be google searching his name this morning. Holland was the guy who did not feel he had to stop tackling the punt returner who did not field the punt at all. Note to Holland- Be thankful Bucs past on Hard Knocks, you would have only been on episode one.
Kansas City starting effort- This team was a playoff team from the AFC West.
Sammie Stroughter’s Fail at the TD celebration body thump where he failed by falling down, or basically, Free Failing.
