My hoop dream ended in ’08 at the end of a bench, becoming nothing more than a three point specialist with little athleticism and defensive ability that made Jose Calderon look like Bruce Bowen. In college I found myself behind the bench as a student manager, handing out water and wiping sweat off the ground. While not a glorious job, I was on the inside of a Division 1 program for four years, taking road trips around the country and becoming so invested in a program’s success it was harmful to my health. Now I’m obtaining a Master’s of English, so if I end up analyzing Metta World Peace using psycho-analytical theory I apologize, it’s kind of my way of thinking right now.
