Harrellson joins Detroit on a partially guaranteed contract.
The Detroit Pistons signed forward Josh Harrellson on a 2 year, partially guaranteed contract Tuesday, as first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal is likely worth the veteran’s minimum. Harrellson, who played at Kentucky, spent last season with the Knicks on a 10 day contract. Harrellson has played 43 games in his career, averaging 4.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 13.3 minutes. He will add depth to an overhauled Detroit Pistons front court, which added Josh Smith this offseason. Minutes will likely be scarce, but should an injury arise Harrellson will add good post defense and rebounding should he be called upon.
