Looking back at some of the podcast’s greater moments, and discussing the Brooklyn Nets with guest Reed Wallach of NetsDaily.com.
We have reached the historic 50th episode of The Lottery Mafia Podcast. I know, we’re just as surprised as you are. To mark the occasion, James Plowright and I dedicated the first 27 minutes of the episode to reflecting back on all the fun we’ve had, and the terrible predictions we’ve made. We also thanked every guest that has ever appeared on the podcast, so if you’ve been on, your name was called.
The rest of the episode was dedicated to discussing the Brooklyn Nets, a team that suddenly finds themselves outside of the playoffs. The team might be up for sale, its star players could be traded away, and they don’t have full control of a 1st round draft pick until 2019. They are, as our guest Reed Wallach of Nets Daily and Vantage Sports put it, “a team in flux.” Reed was kind enough to join us on this historic episode, and provided a lot of insight into the major stories covering this team. James and Reed also bonded over their love of Jerome Jordan. We thank Reed for coming on, and we thank all you listeners old and new, for tuning in.
As always, we can be found on iTunes.
So here’s the deal. If you want to listen to James and I reminisce and make fun of ourselves, tune in from the beginning. If you’re only here for the Nets talk, or you get bored of reminiscing, jump to the 27:15 mark. However, we do have a new NBA player introducing the podcast, and new intro music, so I’d recommend at least listening to that before jumping ahead. Anyways, here are the estimated time stamps:
- Celebrating 50 episodes – Start to 27:15 mark
- The potential sale of the Nets – 31:30
- What direction will the team take? – 37:00
- Billy King’s future – 48:00
- Lionel Hollins’ job so far – 53:00
- Potential trades for Brook Lopez, Joe Johnson – 1:00:00
- Mason Plumlee’s development – 1:11:00
- Karasev’s emergence – 1:13:00
- Corey Jefferson’s role – 1:18:00
