RamsFlag Bearers- Bucs work on ending ‘most penalized team’ status
Unfortunately, this almost never gets done midseason. And despite what you always hear, its not coaching. The players are commiting the penalties, not the coaches. But the players are young, and you get flags with a young team. Undisciplined? I wouldnt call the Bucs that, but I would say they play that way SOMETIMES. And its those times they get the flags. The Bucs also play on the edge, and that will get you some flags too. If the Bucs can cut down the penalties, they will win at least one full game more than they would. I just wouldnt count on it because this change usually comes after an offseason.

Bucs gain on Saints after they are shocked by Rams
I hate “I told you so” but I’ve been saying all year the Saints are not that good anymore. Their defense has holes in it. Yes they are dangerous, they were Dangerous in 2006 and 2007 AND 2008 with Payton and Brees, but the Bucs beat them. IN fact, the only time the Bucs and Saints didnt split a series was the Bucs sweep of New Orleans in 2007.

Penn coming into his own at left tackle
Even the best left tackle gives up a sack  here and there. But Penn is solid in both the pass and run game. His strength however is his pass game protection. The Bucs were smart to give Donald Penn his money.

Final Thoughts on the weekend….
I personally dont think the Bucs will beat the Saints this weekend, but they will play them close, and finish strong the rest of the year. I could be wrong, and if I am, the Bucs are in the drivers seat in the NFC South. I hope they realize that is on the line this week, because they dont fare well against other teams in a fight for the wild card. If the season ended today, Chicago would bein ght Bucs playoff spot, with Detroit in the higher one. The Bucs lost to both of those teams. Other teams the Bucs will go up against in a wild card race could come down to Atlanta and Dallas, teams the Bucs play once still.

The scary thing is tackling, the Bucs seem to have lost the art a bit, and teams coming off the bye week tackle worse than ever. I hope someone on the defensive coaching staff has picked that up- because the Saints will be fuming after their loss to the Rams, and they have a lot of playmakers that can get yardage after the catch.

Then the Bucs have to play the offensive power of Houston at RayJay, and then travel up to the possibly frozen tundra of Green Bay to take on a more than likely undefeated Packers team. Where I think the Bucs will upset them!
Crazy? Do the Bucs play any better than when the world tells them they CANT do something?
