Really, the headline says it all. Not long after young Ms. Boken was laid to rest, police announced the apprehension of two suspects in connection with her murder, two 18-year old males. No other details than the ages of the two suspects was revealed.
St. Louis police chief Dan Isom has stated that they are confident that the two men they have taken into custody are in fact responsible for Boken’s killing.
Megan Boken was a volleyball player for the St. Louis Billikens from 2007 to 2010. She had returned to the university to play in an alumni game Tuesday afternoon when she was shot and killed in her car in an apparent botched robbery. Police do not believe she was acquainted with her killer.
